Nicole McDowell
With over 25 years of experience in education, Nicole McDowell exemplifies a strong commitment to equity, leadership development, and adult education. Ms. McDowell is the Adult Learning Program and Strategic Improvement Administrator for Clayton County Public Schools in Jonesboro, Georgia.
Ms. McDowell’s extensive career is marked by impactful leadership roles in Family Services, Leadership Development, and Alternative Education. Her previous role as the Executive Director of Family and Community Engagement and Equity for the Racine Unified School District in Wisconsin, where she led district-wide initiatives, is a testament to her strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with community partners.
Her efforts have fostered inclusive educational environments and strengthened community engagement. A committed lifelong learner, Ms. McDowell attended Jackson State University, Cardinal Stritch University, and Concordia University, earning a master’s degrees in educational leadership and Curriculum and Instruction. She completed the Urban Superintendent Academy sponsored by the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) and Howard University in Washington, DC. Ms. McDowell is a certified facilitator for the Arbinger Institute and earned the certification for the Executive Development Program with the National Institute for School Leaders. She holds administrative licensure in Wisconsin and Georgia and has consistently championed equitable education, supporting at-promise youth and special education students throughout her career. Her dedication continues to make a transformative impact on her community and the learners she serves.
